Travel Channel (stylized as Trvl Channel since 2018) is an American pay television channel that is owned by Discovery, Inc. which had previously owned the channel from 1997 to 2007. The channel is headquartered in Chevy Chase, Maryland, United States.

Suwat mentioned, "I love watching lock down and Paranormal caught on tape. Love it. And all of the sudden there's Bigfoot hunter. These guys looking to shoot and kill. Take law into there own hand. Please remove the show. I will change the channel as soon as it comes on. Travel Channel please stop promoting the show! I'm ok if you want to do the research but huntings got to go."

Sales Executive (Former Employee) says

"It was nice company employees were really cooperative and the environment was very user friendly it’s like we are a family working in company it was a nice company"

Production assistant (Former Employee) says

"I was only there for a day, but had first-hand experience with the Travel Channel. I spoke with the producer of Sharp Enterainment's "Bert the Conqueror", who gave me some brief insight into the day-to-day operations there. I was largely a production assistant, simply doing what was asked. Cons: single day shoot"

Public Relations Intern (Former Employee) says

"The teams are small and around premiere time it can get hectic. The upper management are easy to work with and they a good grasp on communicating with lower management. It can seem like there are favoritisms at times but it's a nice place to work. Cons: little room for advancement"

Cinematographer and Editor (Current Employee) says

"My experience with Travel Channel has been a positive one but it comes with a level of understanding. My immediate supervisors were a great bunch that allowed us to work flexible schedules and travel the country and world. However, it often rubbed me the wong way that my position was important but not important enough to receive benefits and a company package? My department did a lot of heavy lifting but weren't given the respect we deserved company-wide. Cons: No advancement opportunites"

Host/Presenter (Former Employee) says

"Traveled to Sicily to film and host the show Europe for the Weekend. It was a trying yet educational experience hosting a show with a new team. Still in good standing with my co workers."

Executive Producer (Former Employee) says

"Working with The Travel Channel was fun, in that I had many opportunities to do unconventional things with our show creatively. The schedule was tight, but overall, I enjoyed my experience producing Toy Hunter. Cons: very tight schedule, conflicting creative directives"

"I have been working at Travel Channel Cons: - Lack of programming strategy. - Directors and above offer no leadership/inspiration. - Management cannot make strategic decisions. - No work/life balance -- i.e., NO working from home."

Anonymous says

"I have been working at Travel Channel for more than 3 years Cons: President. President. President. Lack of programming strategy. Management's inability to lead, inspire or take responsibility for poor decisions."

Former Employee - Anonymous Employee says

"I worked at Travel Channel full-time for less than a year Cons: I did not feel I was challenged or stretched in the ways I would have liked. For a creative content company, they do not welcome creativity as they should. I felt extremely stifled while at Travel. The brand is totally diluted. Parent company Scripps is extremely conservative, afraid of new ideas, risk-averse, slow to make decisions. They just had a major reorganization in Aug. 2015, layoffs in Nov. 2015."

Former Employee - Senior Producer says

"I worked at Travel Channel full-time for more than 3 years Cons: Low budgets when I was there."

Former Employee - Anonymous Employee says

"I worked at Travel Channel full-time Cons: Lack of focus, too many changes in management"

Current Employee - Vice President says

"I have been working at Travel Channel full-time for more than 5 years Cons: Heavily sales focused which can impact the decision process. May find changes in direction without a full understanding. Investment may not always make sense from year-to-year."

Current Employee - Anonymous Employee says

"I have been working at Travel Channel full-time for more than 3 years Cons: Lots of competition, management out of touch"

Former Employee - Anonymous Employee says

"I worked at Travel Channel full-time Cons: Multiple owners in a short period of time."

frank says

"I actually like those ghost shows and Bigfoot shows but they put every single show that I watched on discovery plus. I have the money but I refuse out of principal to get the streaming service. If I could cancel travel and discovery channel I would but the cable package includes lifetime which is my wife\'s favorite unfortunately. Discovery and travel channel you suck Joe Biden\'s communist dick big time!"

Saddamhusain Idrisi says

"Very bad app becouse i have completed 33k+followers and i am 25years old But I have not live option, not more views only 250 and 400 views only descusting experience @addams_idri"

Josh Wallen says

"We have a lot of issues, it constantly freezes up you can't watch a show or game all the way through, I will say this I couldn't wa at h my nba playoff games and called and they said they are working on it, when I wa watched the next game it worked but now we are back to the same issues, I try to watch travel channel or animal planet nothing works so I just watch you tube all day it's much better."

Charles Nebaum says

"Don’t waste your time and money!!! Constantly buffering and then delayed once it finishes, so the audio is up to 30 sec behind the video. You may get a couple of minutes of viewing in between these buffering episodes and then once it plays you’ve missed sections of viewing. Their customer service is brilliant too, (that is sarcasm btw) with a customer service representative explaining to me that our previously included channels in our premium package are not currently available because they are changing the packages, but in the meantime they will give us the package for free that we can’t watch??? Seriously??? Then the guy got an attitude when I laughed and explained what was wrong with this offer, stating “there is nothing wrong with this!” Like it was his English I was annoyed with instead of the ridiculous offer to watch channels for free that aren’t available. Given all the horrible reviews that match up perfectly with our experience as well we cancelled."

Gary Hughes says

"I was really hoping for a true alternative to cable, not even close. I have incredible speed on my speed test to run 4 or 5 devices, but I can't watch 30 seconds of TV without freezing, buffering, rebuffering, or refreezing. It is frozen as I write this review. There should be a class action lawsuit, or at least an investigation into the business practice of this company by the US Attorney General's Office."
